On May 23 the Web Foundation will launch the 4th edition of the Open Data Barometer (ODB). The Barometer is a global measure of how governments are publishing and using open data for accountability, innovation and social impact.
This latest edition covers 115 countries, ranking them on:
- Readiness: the legal and regulatory environment for opening up government data
- Implementation: the number and types of datasets that are open
- Impact: the extent to which open data is having a positive impact on business, politics and civil society
The 4th edition of the Barometer will be available at http://opendatabarometer.org/, where you can currently find last year’s Open Data Barometer.
