The Web Index is the world’s first measure of the World Wide Web’s contribution to social, economic and political progress in countries across the world.
The 2014-15 edition of the Web Foundation’s annual Web Index examines key Web issues — including privacy, censorship, gender-based violence, equality and, for the first time ever, net neutrality — across 86 countries, and scores each country in the areas of access, freedom and openness, relevant content, and empowerment.
To see our full set of recommendations, read the 2014-15 Web Index report, and explore all data from this year’s Index, as well as a number of exciting visualisations, please visit www.thewebindex.org or download the report PDF.
