In support of our mission to make the web safe and empowering for everyone, the Web Foundation is hosting a cycle challenge across Europe.
Leg one of this historic challenge took place this September 2022, taking cyclists from Oxford to Paris, with a second leg to follow next year that will finish at CERN in Geneva, the birthplace of the World Wide Web.
The purpose of this challenge is, first and foremost, to generate increased awareness of our mission, and secondly, to raise money to help us achieve our important strategic goals.
From developing innovative solutions to the most pressing tech challenges of our time through the Tech Policy Design Lab, to fighting to make the web work for women and girls, to championing the globally recognised principles formulated in the Contract for the Web, we’re continuing our tireless fight for the web we want: a web that is safe and empowering for everyone.
To do so, we rely entirely on the generous support of individuals, foundations, and corporate partners who believe in Sir Tim Berners-Lee’s vision of a web for everyone.
Stay tuned for updates. Follow along using #WebWeWant and #WebCycleChallenge.
We’d like to thank all of our team sponsors, event sponsors, and event organisers for their dedication and commitment to this challenge.
