This weekend, we’ll be at Mozfest, a festival celebrating the free and open internet. Organised by Mozilla, the event brings together internet advocates from around the world to share ideas, get inspired and explore how we can work together to create a healthier internet.
Now in its eighth year, Mozfest has expanded from a hacker’s meetup to become one of the flagship events in the digital rights calendar. This year events will span cybersecurity, online harassment, fake news and the decentralisation of the web.
If you’re attending, please come say hi to our team! Nanjira Sambuli, Digital Equality Advocacy Manager, and Renata Avila, Senior Digital Rights Advisor, are both participating in sessions. Other team members will also be there.

On Sunday, Renata will lead a discussion on how we can ensure that digital technology enhances and strengthens electoral processes, rather than undermine them, particularly in regions where electoral processes are still fragile.
