The 2014-15 edition of our annual Web Index will be released to the public on Thursday, December 11 2014 at 0001 GMT via www.thewebindex.org. The Web Index is the world’s first measure of the World Wide Web’s contribution to social, economic and political progress in countries across the world.
Five new countries – Haiti, Mozambique, Myanmar, Ukraine and Sierra Leone – are included in this year’s report. Key issues under the microscope this year include privacy, censorship, gender-based violence online, equality and, for the first time ever, Net Neutrality.
Data from the 2014-15 index and the accompanying report will be available at www.thewebindex.org. You can head over to the site now, leave us your email address to be notified when it is ready and join the online conversation using #WebIndex.
