Director Rosemary Leith has recently been named as a Berkman Center for Internet & Society 2012-2013 fellow, where she will join Berkman’s Internet Robustness team, building awareness and facilitating partnerships in the effort to support a more stable and reliable Web.
“The 2012-2013 fellows bring to Berkman an astounding level of expertise, a diversity in viewpoints and interests, and a willingness to innovatively and deeply engage the many pressing questions related to the ongoing development of the Internet” said Urs Gasser, Berkman’s Executive Director. “Their commitment to spending the next year in Cambridge provides us the opportunity to build bridges across our shared and independent activities, and to serve the public interest with rigorous research, concerted action, and genuine kinship. We very much look forward to the year ahead with this inspiring group of colleagues.”
Rosemary is a founding Director and Chair of the Governance Committee of the Web Foundation, and holds a number of non-profit board and advisory roles including: Chair, Global Agenda Council on Internet Security, World Economic Forum; Director, Herdict, Berkman Centre, Harvard University; Rectors Advisory Council, University of the Arts, London, Strategy Council, Wolfson College, Oxford University, Member Global Advisory Council, Queen’s University School of Business (Canada); Tate Foundation Advisory Board; Past Trustee of the Almeida Theatre (2002- 2010), Past Director of Web Science Trust.
