I wanted to write a short blog post to announce the launch of the new IPI news contest for 2012. The International Press Institute has started its second contest to attract new innovative ideas in the domain of digital media. The contest has two themes: news platform and training.
As a result of IPI’s first content in 2011, our application, jointly with our colleagues from Sahel Eco, and VU University – Amsterdam — called Foroba Blo: Voice-based citizen journalism — won the contest in the news platform category.  Our project has just started and you will here news soon as we are organizing field workshops in the coming weeks.
