Mobile Web Ghana Kicked Off

Max Froumentin · December 7, 2010

Last week Max and Florence were in Accra and Cape Coast to introduce Mobile Web Ghana, the mobile technology community developed as part of our Vodafone-funded entrepreneurship program. We gave two talks on mobile technology, demonstrating simple applications and explaining the challenges of mobile entrepreneurship (PDF slides). The talks attracted more than 150 people and were well received, considering the number of questions we were asked and the amount of positive feedback we received later.

We’ve also opened the Mobile Web Ghana website, which we’ll soon complete with instructions on how to apply for the training in February.

Thanks to everyone who helped us set up this event, in particular the staff at the Kofi Annan Centre of Excellence in ICT and at Cape Coast University.
