Mark Davies is our Communications Director, leading the team promoting the work of the Web Foundation and the fight for the #WebWeWant. Mark joined the team from the Post Office in the UK, where he was Group Communications and Corporate Affairs Director.
A former journalist with the BBC and CNN, he was a Special Adviser in the UK Government for six years between 2004 and 2010 working for Baroness Valerie Amos when she was Leader of the House of Lords and for the Rt Hon Jack Straw in the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, House of Commons and Ministry of Justice. He was Communications, Campaigns, Research and Advice Director of the charity Rethink Mental Illness between 2010 and 2012.
Mark is a trustee of the BUPA Foundation, an adviser to Blood Cancer UK and an alumni member of the Corporate Affairs Academy at the Saud Business School, University of Oxford.
