Lisa’s background combines creative arts and communications and audience strategy. For the past few years, she has worked to promote creative storytelling as a communications and campaigning tool, which has led to the production of diverse media such as films, exhibitions, book publication and community theatre projects.
Before joining the Web Foundation, Lisa worked for Amnesty International’s International Secretariat, where she led communications for the Southern African region. Prior to this, she worked in communications at Doctors Without Borders/MSF, and was the arts editor of the Mail&Guardian Online. She has also worked as a strategic communications advisor and trainer.
Lisa is based in Johannesburg, South Africa with two cats, Pigeon and Budgie.
