Iris Boyer serves as a Senior Policy Manager at the World Wide Web Foundation. She is responsible for supporting the development and coordination of policy positions across the organization, producing briefing materials, mobilizing and engaging with relevant coalitions and partners, and representing the Web Foundation at key external conferences and meetings, including with senior government, civil society and private sector representatives. In this role, she also focuses on advancing the Contract for the Web, and driving advocacy efforts that bring us closer to the web we want.
Iris joins the Web Foundation with rich experience across civil society, government and the private sector. For the past three years, Iris served as Deputy Head, Technology, Communications and Education at the Institute for Strategic Dialogue (ISD). Prior to ISD, she was a Product Marketing Manager at YouTube and Policy Programmes Associate at Facebook. Iris began her career in the French government, working for the French Ministry of Economy and Finance, Economic Attaché at the Embassy ́s Economic Service for South Caucasus. She holds a Masters in European Studies from Sciences Po and a Masters in Public Administration from London Metropolitan University and Moscow Higher School of Economics. She speaks French, English, Spanish, and Russian.
