Daphnee Iglesias serves as Policy Manager at the Web Foundation, bringing her expertise in strategic management in the public sector, non-profits and financial consulting. She leads the project management of Contract for the Web’s long-term strategy, which includes stewarding its stakeholder engagement, policy development and advocacy.
Over the last years, Daphnee has worked on a number of initiatives related to advancing the value of the web exploring connections between the increasing use of new technologies and implications for countries’ digital policies. Her past assignments include serving as a member of the leading research and review teams for Web Foundation’s The Web Index and the Open Data Barometer. She has also been awarded a German Chancellor Fellowship to analyse Germany’s open government policy and data protection regulation.
Daphnee has a Master of Public Policy from the Hertie School and a BA in International Relations from the Pontifical Catholic University of Goias. She is trained in Social Innovation and Leadership by the United Nations University for Peace (DSIL/UPEACE). A Humboldtian scholar, she speaks Portuguese, English, Spanish and German.
