ThoughtWorks partnering with the Web Foundation to run software dev training sessions in Accra and Nairobi labs

Max Froumentin · July 25, 2012

We’re very happy to announce a partnership with ThoughtWorks to run software development workshops in our Mobile Web Ghana and m:Lab East Africa labs. In the next few weeks, ThoughtWorks experts will arrive in Accra and Nairobi to share their renowned software experience with our mobile web communities.

ThoughtWorks specializes in software development and has, for more than 10 years, built systems, advised clients and advocated for positive social change worldwide. With more than 2000 employees in 11 countries, you can be sure they know what they’re talking about when they teach!

Over the course of 7 days, trainers will be teaching modern software development and project management. Their specialized knowledge of application architectures and Agile methodology are just some of the topics that they will address in these advanced courses.

Training sessions will take place in Nairobi from 30 July to 7 August, and in Accra from 13 to 21 August.

We are very grateful to ThoughtWorks for coming to our labs to teach iterative software practices. Along with our own training in mobile technologies, we are confident that we’re providing our mobile entrepreneurs with great opportunities to engage much more deeply in the global developer community. We would also like to acknowledge The Pragmatic Bookshelf and O’Reilly Media for generously donating teaching material.
